Mr Scrumpy The Bulldog

Warm, wonderfully lazy, and entirely devoted to his own comfort, Mr Scrumpy the Bulldog is one of Rupert’s House’s most relaxed and lovable residents.

Hand crocheted in beautifully soft cotton yarn, with his distinctive squashy face and glorious brown patches, Mr Scrumpy is full of character and impossible not to adore. Although technically a bulldog, Mr Scrumpy is quite certain he is actually a cat trapped inside a dog’s body. He sleeps for approximately twenty-three hours a day and strongly believes that movement should only ever happen when food is involved. 

Outdoors is only tolerated in temperatures above twenty degrees, when Mr Scrumpy can be found sunbathing on the decking. His favourite food is mango—which he insists is one of his five a day —and his favourite place to nap is directly on top of a human.

Highly intelligent, affectionate, and exceptionally skilled at conserving energy, Mr Scrumpy plans to spend most of his life alternating between eating, sleeping, and being admired. Loyal, calming, and full of quiet humour, he makes a wonderfully comforting companion and an unforgettable keepsake gift.
